Balmaceda and Serrano Glaciers Navigation

The Balmaceda and Serrano Glaciers are located within the Bernardo O’Higgins National Park. To get to this park we must navigate around 30 nautical miles northwest of Puerto Natales (there is no other way to get there, just navigate). Its difficult access makes this national park a little visited place but at the same time very famous for the surrounding environment. If the weather permits, during the trip we can see the facilities of the former Bories Refrigerator, cormorant colonies, waterfalls, sea lions and abundant local flora.

This navigation along with the full day Torres del Paine, gray navigation and the full day volcanoes of Pali-Aike, are one of the many alternatives that we offer while being in Southern Patagonia, this tour will last around 10 hours.

The passenger must show up at the offices at 07 15 am, after doing the chek in we will go to the Puerto Bories sector where our adventure will begin. After boarding, we will navigate to Mount Balmaceda (2035 meters) through the Señoret canal. On this trip you can observe and enjoy mini waterfalls, dolphins, cormorant colonies, sea lions and different types of birds. Upon arrival in Puerto Toro we will disembark and start a 1 hour app walk (round trip), along the shore of the iceberg lagoon until we reach the Serrano glacier. On the way back we will stop in a room to have lunch a roast of lamb very typical of the area. Return to Puerto Natales and approximate arrival 18.00 hrs.

After navigation you will have the option of taking a bus back to Punta Arenas

The last bus leaves from Puerto Natales to Punta Arenas at 8:00 p.m. (Advance booking is recommended)
